Hybrid technology

So... Hybrid may not have released any new tunes, nor even a single, but they have contributed a new track to the WipeOut Pure soundtrack (which I just happen to have downloaded from Distinctive Records...)

Anyway, the track, called Zulu, is pretty good, although is more of a thumping techno-track than the glorious symphonics on Wide Angle or even Morning Sci-Fi...

Romeo (2.0) and Juliet

So. Another week, another album purchased from iTunes Music Store. This time it was Juliet's Random Order, a rather good debut album from the Pennsylvanian-born chantreuse who was a Free Download Single of the Week a couple of months ago...

Anyway, I've listened to the album a few times now and have been pretty impressed. It was produced by Jacques du Cont, a.k.a. the Thin White Duke and his style is evident in quite a few of the tracks. It's good ol' electro-pop with a hard edge.

Anyway, the Romeo of the title is, of course, the Oakley Romeo 2.0 - a pair of sunglasses that costs about the same as a return flight to the States. Ne'er mind. I'm going to have to get a pair, regardless. I'll probably go for the Polarised lenses - as you never know what thermo-nuclear-type optical abuse my eyes might be subject to in the City of London...
